I was reminded the other day, when doing a final walk through, with a buyer who was buying a newly built home, that the expectations for new home ownerhsip are high. Perhaps too high and a bit unrealistic.
As someone who acted as my own General Contractor when we built our own house, and has sold hundreds of new homes over the years, there is no perfect house! It doesn’t matter how much or how little the house cost, there are human and mechanical systems involved and none are perfect.
So please, please, please…. If you are going to purchase a brand new home get realistic. I am not saying lower your expectations (unless they are unrealistic) but do get realistic.
